Life Coaching

A life coach is your unconditional support partner that helps you get clarity around possible challenges, decisions and/or life changes that you face. The coach will assist you in helping find answers that are already within.  A life coach can help unlock the potential in a person by providing the necessary tools to move their visions, aspirations and goals forward.

Here are some frequently asked questions about coaching.

Q. How does life coaching work?

A:  Coaching is forward looking and focused on the actions you are willing to take to get what you want out of life. Your actions and willingness to follow through will make all the difference in the world. The client brings the agenda and the coach brings the coaching skills to create a partnership that moves the client forward. People that go through this process with a consistent commitment typically have a greater focus and deepen their learning. They obtain new awareness of choices that bring them closer to fulfilling their God given purpose.

Q. Why do people use a life coach?

A:  Sometimes our thoughts and ideals get the best of us and we can’t decide which way to go. We often get confused and sometimes frustrated because we seek answers from people who are often unable to help you unlock the things in you that keep you from making change and/or moving things forward. Coaching enables you to see different alternatives and to take a step back to examine where you are and where you want to go. It leads to greater self-awareness, focus and accountability.

Q. What can I expect in a life coaching session?

A:  Sessions can be in person, on the phone, using email, group sessions in person, or group coaching over the phone (teleclass). During each coaching session the coach and the client will discuss and explore their desired outcome.  An action plan is developed for the coming week consisting of action steps to move you closer toward your goals. Coaching sessions are usually weekly, lasting from a half-hour to an hour. Sessions may be focused on one specific goal or current challenge, or on a broader set of personal or professional issues.
